Mary M. Francis, BA, TS/ELD (ABB), Lab Technician

Mary served as the Laboratory Director/Chief Embryologist at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine ART Laboratory in Los Angeles from January 1988 until March 2015.  Ms. Francis received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California, San Diego and has done graduate work in the Department of Physiology at USC. She has an extensive background in Andrology, Embryology and Reproductive Biology with over 30 years of experience in Clinical Embryology. She is certified as a Technical Supervisor by the ABB in the disciplines of Andrology and Embryology as well as being certified as an Embryology Laboratory Director. She is the author or co-author of over twenty peer review articles and chapters on reproductive endocrinology. Ms. Francis has been a speaker for the Nurses Postgraduate Course at the Annual Meeting of the American Fertility Society and was involved in teaching the Reproductive Endocrinology fellows in the laboratory aspects of their training. She is also an inspector for the CAP Laboratory accreditation program. Ms. Francis is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society and the American Association of Bioanalysts. She has recently been elected as President of the Pacific Coast reproductive Society for 2017.  She enjoys hiking, scuba diving and traveling.
